Russia mentioned Monday that drone assaults in central Moscow and annexed Crimea may warrant a harsh response, after Ukraine claimed an assault on the capital.
“We regard what occurred as one more use of terrorist strategies and intimidation of the civilian inhabitants by the navy and political management of Ukraine,” Russia’s international ministry mentioned. “The Russian Federation reserves the best to take powerful retaliatory measures.”
The ministry mentioned the “West’s deal with additional aggravating the situation” in Ukraine was behind Kyiv’s “brazen actions.”
Russian officers mentioned earlier that Ukrainian drones hit two buildings in Moscow and an ammunition depot in Crimea, the peninsula annexed by Russia from Ukraine in 2014.

Moscow’s mayor, Sergei Sobyaninm mentioned there have been no casualties when drones hit two buildings within the metropolis, The Related Press studies. One drone fell close to the capital’s middle, damaging the roof of a home about 200 yards away from the Protection Ministry constructing, the AP reported, citing Russian media. One other drone hit a Moscow workplace constructing, creating seen injury on its higher flooring.
A Ukrainian protection supply informed AFP the assault on Moscow was a “particular operation” carried out by Kyiv’s navy intelligence.
In Crimea, the Ukrainian drone struck an ammunition depot, Russian authorities mentioned.
The strikes comes after Kyiv vowed to retaliate for a Russian missile strike on the city of Odesa a day earlier. That assault killed two individuals and broken a historic cathedral within the UNESCO-protected metropolis on the Black Sea.
